Established in June 2011, our aim is to continuously assess and develop from deep within, starting with your core strength, and then building a healthier, stronger and well-balanced body, both physically and mentally, inside to out.
We aim to work with you on building your core strength, health and fitness goals. Your training sessions will be developed based on your goals and availability, ensuring we incorporate a variety of exercises to keep you excited and motivated but most importantly achieving effective workouts!
My career prior to the fitness industry started in Advertising as a Graphic Designer, then progressed to Account Service. The whole time while in this industry my true passion lay in fitness. I felt at the time that fitness was a hobby and that in no way did I want to endanger this hobby as a chore so never considered fitness as a career! Now I am so happy it is part of my career as it is a large part of my life.
When in my late teens, I used to run or cycle 3 – 4 km to the closest gym followed by a circuit class, swim laps then back on my bike to ride home! I have calmed down since then but thoroughly enjoy a good run and fitness challenge, having competed in over a dozen half marathons, triathlons, fun runs since the late 90's.
Therefore it was a natural progression to combine my knowledge and experience that I have developed over the last 20 years into a program for my clients that will deliver the results, rewards and enjoyment that I have received.
Having started a family with my first child in 2007 I decided this was my opportunity to change career paths into an area that I love. From training with a group personal trainer to re-gain my fitness and well being after my first child, I realised this was the right choice for me.
After completing my fitness qualifications in March 2009, I worked with the Personal Trainers who trained me – training other mothers to regain their fitness and core strength back after childbirth.
I too did not realise the importance of continual core strengthening, thinking I had it mastered, I competed in the City2Surf, Bridge run and half marathon in 2010 with a lot of running and little core strengthening to only find myself injured due to lack of core strength! Having to start back at the beginning I realised and learnt that regardless of your fitness level core strength is the most important milestone to meet and maintain and without it (especially after childbirth) our bodies will not cope with the pressures we place on it. Regardless of fitness level, we all need to develop our core strength before anything else to ensure we remain healthy and injury free.
Now with a solid background specialising in core strengthening and overall body fitness and having worked hard to rebuild the fitness of mum's and their husbands, additionally having built my own fitness back after 2 children, I have a great understanding, knowledge and experience in working with other mothers, and men as to the importance of core conditioning and strengthening for regaining our bodies back into shape without injury.
